Alpine Program Director 

 

Gould Academy seeks a director for its Alpine Program. The Alpine Program Director is responsible for leading a team of dedicated coaches to provide United States Ski and Snowboard training for athletes in the U18, U16, U14, and U12 age groups. The program emphasizes technical skill development, free skiing, and gate training to guide student-athletes to reach their full potential. This leadership role requires a candidate who is an excellent coach, a strong team player, and a respect for the partnerships with Sunday River Resort. Additionally, the Alpine Director must be committed to the mission of the organization and connected to the unique opportunities of being a student-athlete. The Alpine Director will coordinate with a team of year-round and winter coaches to provide a best-in-class training and development program. Additionally, this role will support a club-level program with over 250 members, ranging in age from 7-17 years old. This diverse group of development-age skiers will provide a steady pipeline of potential U18/16 academy level USSS and FIS athletes. The Alpine Program Director will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain top-performing athletes and coaches, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

FIS Alpine Coach


Gould Academy seeks a FIS Alpine Coach to join our beautiful outdoor community working alongside various On Snow enthusiasts in our athletics department. This role is responsible for all aspects of coaching alpine athletes and leadership of the FIS alpine program. Works in conjunction with the Alpine Director for management and program delivery for all Alpine Gould Academy as well as Sunday River’s weekend program. Our highly qualified, full-time coaching team allows athletes to compete in a variety of schedules—from state USSS races to international FIS events. Gould alpine skiers are members of United States Ski and Snowboard (USSS) and compete at the U18, U16, U14 & U12 levels. Our Alpine Program prepares student-athletes to compete at the highest levels in each age group. We strike a balance of technical skills between free skiing and gate training at Sunday River Resort, while offering the best opportunity for student-athletes to reach their potential. Gould also manages a 250+ member weekend club-level program with athletes ranging from 7-17 years old. This rich gathering of development-age skiers ensures a steady pipeline of potential U19/16 academy level USSS and FIS future athletes. As a representative of Gould Academy, it is essential to have an understanding and support of the school’s mission as well as culture. Fellowship

 

The goal of Gould’s fellowship program is to inspire and provide experience in the field of education. Fellows must posses an enthusiasm for learning, appreciate adolescent development, and a commitment to diversity, equity and belonging. In year one, the fellow program explores the dynamic intersection of adolescent development in a residential setting. Fellows engage in a variety of programs based on their skills, qualifications and interests. Gould is uniquely positioned to support advanced level experiential education that leverages our place-based assets, arts programs, athletic programs or advanced exposure to admissions, marketing and communication. In year two and three, fellows begin graduate studies with tuition support.

Fellow’s strengths are paired with program needs.  Individual abilities are matched with experienced mentors and guides in the teaching, admissions or coaching domain.
