Senior Specialist, Fundraising EpicPromise Employee Foundation


The EpicPromise Employee Foundation (EPEF) provides $1M+, annually, in financial grants to Vail Resorts employees and their families. The EpicPromise Employee Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit funded by Vail Resorts, company employees, and the community. We have three grant programs: an Emergency Relief grant program and two scholarship grant programs: Educational Ascent and EpicPromise Scholars.


The Sr. Specialist of Fundraising is responsible for employee engagement and donor management for the EpicPromise Employee Foundation. Working in partnership with the Director of Community Impact and EPEF and Board, this role will have the primary responsibility to build and execute annual fundraising targets and plans. Success in this role will include increasing program awareness and loyalty among Vail Resorts employees and guests and increasing the Foundation’s overall fundraising efforts and donor connection.

Community Grants Manager


Vail Resorts invests at least $21M annually in programs and initiatives directed to non-profits focused on addressing the most critical needs for people and the environment in the resort communities where the company operates resorts. This role leads the EpicPromise community grants program which currently provides $10M annually through the locally directed grants program, guest donation program and non-profit board and committee engagement program.

 

The Community Grants Manager will work directly with the Director of Community Impact and Foundation and the Vail Resorts' Epic Promise team along with our mountain leadership teams across the enterprise to coordinate and execute the company's charitable contributions programs at 37 North American resorts. This includes establishing and tracking of outcomes metrics; developing and maintaining key relationships with nonprofit partner organizations, and outreach and communication to the broader communities.

Communications & Development Manager


The Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) is a collaborative effort between the US Forest Service Northwest Avalanche Center and the nonprofit Northwest Avalanche Center. The mission of NWAC is to increase avalanche awareness, reduce avalanche impacts, and equip the community with mountain weather and avalanche forecasts, education, and data. This position is funded and managed by the 501(c)3 non-profit arm of NWAC.

The NWAC Communications & Development Manager is responsible for strategic communication and fundraising. You will oversee the communication strategy, develop content, plan NWAC events, and facilitate strategic partnerships. You will also oversee development strategy. You will be running NWAC’s fundraising campaigns, working with NWAC forecasters, planning community events, and working with brand partners. This role reports to the Executive Director and manages the Communication and Membership Coordinator. Professional backcountry experience is not required for this role; however, you must have experience with backcountry travel andfamiliarity using avalanche forecasting products.
