AMCC 2004 Fundraisers
The annual NBS event, AMCC and Summit in alternating years, is our key fundraiser for the Olympic Scholarship Fund (OSF), and this year we have organized exciting events to help support our mission. We need you to support these events. Your donations may be tax deductible at the NBS sponsored events. Please join us and bring a friend.Tuesday:
OSF Fundraiser: Winter White Casino Night 8:30 PM - 1:00

This dual event will feature 2 completely separate concepts happening concurrently. One room will be transformed into an ice palace with a winter white theme and an ethereal aura. The music will be nightclub based and all guests will be asked to abide by the theme and wear winter white or a light color variation. The other room will be the casino with a more jazzy lounge feel with R&B and perhaps a live jazz band or mixed media band to perform. This evening will be high class and sophisticated. All proceeds from this event will go towards the Olympic Scholarship Fund.
Our Winter White Casino Night will give you the opportunity to dress up, gamble, and dance the night away all for our greatest cause – the Team NBS athletes. In addition to supporting the mission, you will receive admission to the ball, along with $50.00 in NBS chips to gamble with. With your winnings you can bid on prizes, participate in the silent auction, or just claim the title of the BEST male or female winner.
Wednesday:
Although the NBS will not be offering its own parties on Wednesday night,
our entertainment partners, Black Diamond Entertainment and Chicago’s
Good Time Productions will have parties scheduled. Also included in Wednesday
nights festivities, DC Entertainment out of Colorado will be hosting "Comedy
On The Mountain" , a comedy show featuring nationally known comedians
Shawn Jones and Griff. These partners will donate a portion of the entry fees
to the NBS Olympic Scholarship Fund.
Chicago GTP offers the “Black Chocolate” party. This party will
feature beautiful “Chocolate” trendsetters from around the nation
dressed in black. Everybody at this party will be looking good in black and
feeling good about being chocolate while they dance to the nation’s
hottest music. This event will feature Chocolate Martinis.
“Black Diamonds presents the New York Party: “Phreak on the Peak”. Coming straight out of the top nightclubs in NYC, Black Diamonds presents it’s New York Flavor with all the trimmings. VIP area with bottle service, dancing girls, video game lounge, Mic Hype man, paparazzi photographers etc. We will give the national Summit audience a taste of just how we do it in NYC and will feature one of our TOP NYC DJ’s to work the crowd into a total frenzy! DJ will play hip-hop, R&B, Reggae, soca, merengue, classics, soul and a pinch of house and rock to show how we make them move in NYC. Perhaps some local NBA, NFL and celebs will come by and pay a visit!

Rhian (pronounced Ree-Ann) Benson is enigmatic – enigmatic because she defies categorization; enigmatic because her life and her music are framed by paradox.
