AMCC 2004 Entertainment Schedule
There are two categories of entertainment for AMCC 2004, events that are included in your registration, and fundraisers for the NBS Olympic Scholarship Fund (OSF) that will require an additional donation. NBS sponsored events include the Apres Ski Happy Hours and evening parties. What follows is a schedule of the planned events. Click here to jump to the OSF fundraisers.
Saturday:

Apres Ski: Superbowl Party
After a full day with GospelFest, Team NBS Races, the Parade and Opening Ceremonies,
relax and enjoy the Superbowl while catching up with your NBS friends and
family.
Reunion Night Party
Guests will be asked to represent their Alma Mater, Fraternity, Sorority,
State or City. They will have to dress wearing their colors, logo shirts,
caps, and any creative way to visually convey their affiliations. King and
Queen of the night will be chosen from those representing the most categories.
Ideally the king and queen winners will be wearing something from each affiliation
they have and will attempt to represent each category.
DJs will be playing dance party anthems from music styles that are known to come from different regions of the country, such as a house music from Chicago, 70’s – Now R&B, coast-to-coast hip hop, Miami dance music with Latin and Caribbean flavor. Popular food and invented drinks to represent such as the NY Martini, The Black and Gold drink, Bourbon Street, the LA Martini, the Chicago Bull etc.
Monday:
Apres Ski: “ Diggin’ in the Crates: 90’s Hip-Hop
Old Skool Jam”
Everyone appreciates a blast from the past with hip-hop already having a 20
year history of product under its belt. Old Skool has established itself as
a popular entertainment theme among the kids-now adults who have grown up
on this music format from the late 80’s and early 90’s. It’s
a celebration of our culture as African-Americans and the concept has proven
successful in the past. Ultimately the DJ will be the focal point with a strictly
retro play list of the 90’s hip-hop classics and best songs from this
era. Potentially, an old school dance contest with prizes for the best dancers
etc. Presented by Black Diamonds.
The Dow Twins' Annual Cooley High Reunion
The New York City flavor has been a force at the NBS since the early 90's,
when the Dow Twins' hosted The Mansion Party at Deer Valley to The Eagle Nest
Party atop the Gondola at Vail, to The Pre-Olympic Party at the Delta Center
in Utah to name a few. This year, the evening is 'dedicated to those with
discriminating taste', featuring Apple Martinis and more. The DJ will include
music from "Cooley High" oldies to salsa to reggae and yesterday’s
hits to today’s hits. So, dress to impress and wear comfortable shoes
to dance the night away... til 2am. There will be prizes for best 'Cooley
High' outfits...male & female. The Dow Twins & Friends will do the
rest.

Recognition Reception (Invitation Only): 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Before the Winter White Casino Night affair, we will be recognizing clubs,
individuals and organizations that have gone the distance to support the NBS
and its objectives, as well at the athlete of the year. Last year was the
inaugural year for the Finley-Clay, Bonnie St. John, and President's Awards.
The Finley-Clay Award is given to the individual whose actions carry forward
the tradition established by NBS founders Ben Finley and Art Clay. The Bonnie
St. John Award is for the athlete, coach or individual whose contributions
to our mission stands as an example for everyone. The President's Award is
given to the club whose energy, initiative and actions promote the essence
of our organization in their community.
In keeping true to our competitive spirit there will also be awards for the
fastest adult male and female athletes. Other awards are being developed and
will be announced shortly.
Nomination forms will be available online by November 15th with electronic
submissions due no later than December 1st. Anyone can submit nominations
but a club president must support the nomination as well.

Wednesday:
Apres Ski: Slopestyle: The Fashion and Music Mix.
Black Diamonds presents fashion and music with a twist. Represent your individual
slope style and wear your most “stylish” winter active gear or
outfit to this Apres ski affair! Enter the Slopestyle Fashion Show! Winners
will be crowned Fashion King & Queen! Also, be treated to a special fashion
show featuring you and a special presentation of the hottest fashions by a
major American designer. DJ playing the hottest music, beautiful models and
a live performance will help you get in the mood to strut your stuff.
Although the NBS will not be offering its own parties on Wednesday night, our entertainment partners, Black Diamond Entertainment and Chicago’s Good Time Productions will have parties scheduled. These parties will carry an entry fee as determined by the providers. Also included in Wednesday nights festivities, DC Entertainment out of Colorado will be hosting "Comedy On The Mountain" , a comedy show featuring nationally known comedians Shawn Jones and Griff. These partners will donate a portion of the entry fees to the NBS Olympic Scholarship Fund. See Fundraiser page for details.

Friday:
Apres Ski: “Gotta have House”
Dance and Club music will be the theme for the night. Highlighting hottest
music played in the top dance clubs in the 80’s and early 90’s.
Paralleling the explosion of hip-hop, house and dance music ruled the airwaves
until it was surpassed by the hip-hop genre. Wear YOUR dancing shoes! We will
turn the room into a huge nightclub with balloons, lighting, fog machines,
glow sticks, blinking buttons and really loud up tempo dance music. DJ will
be renowned and respected by all house music aficionados! This party will
be explosive!
(1) Mardi Gras Pajama & Lingerie Party or
(2) NBS Apollo Night:
Mardi Gras Pajama & Lingerie Party: Single men will be given mardi gras beads as they enter the party. Women will be challenged to get beads from as many men as possible. The women must dance or flirt with the men to get the beads. The 10 women with the most beads will win prizes on stage at the party. The venue will be decorated with mardi gras decoration and everyone will wear their sexiest pajamas and lingerie.
NBS Apollo Night: Brought to you by DC Entertainment. Entertainment will
consist of comedy, poetry and live vocalists, as well as, registered NBS.

to sign up for the Apollo night via e-mail and/or voice mail in three categories
- vocals poetry and comedy. First, Second and Third prizes will be awarded.
