Dude this sounds a little bitter, no... I hear ya with the vast snow
fields of the Rocky Mtns. And the beautiful scenery with incredibly long
runs...bla bla bla! If you love a craft you grab every opportunity to
go at it, even if it means running off to a piece of ice every so often.

When you do your Rocky Mtn trips you will not want to be rusty and waste
a good piece of your trip learning. I envy folks who live out west where
getting to the big slopes is a quick hop. However, I like to go get my
ski on!
I'm an easterner and I eat up these hills every weekend, I am good
skiing every condition. When I get out west I'll be rocking steeps,
chest deeps, and tight spaces! Will everyone that only has time for the
BIG mountain keep up the skills in between trips? (Hmmmmm.)

Sorry Powda...:)

Kim, try some northern Vermont like Jay Peak, Sugarbush (more consistant
conditions).
