The Boston Ski Party's mission is to promote the sport of skiing and the enjoyment of winter sports to the African American community in Boston. The Ski Club began in 1974 and organizes ski trips to destinations here in New England and popular locations in the US and Canada. We attract a culturally diverse group of winter sports enthusiasts. And plan year-round athletic and social activities for our members. We are one of 84 member clubs that comprise the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS). We support NBS' mission: To identify, develop and support athletes of color who will WIN international and Olympic winter sports competitions representing the United States. One of the important things we do, toward this end, is to introduce the sport of skiing to children at early age. It is the first step in making the sport a life-long endeavor. Our member’s actively participate in the Youth Ski Program as instructors and mentors. We have a special relationship with Youth Enrichment Services which helps support the activities of our Youth Ski Program.
