The Southern Snow Seekers Ski Club is a local 501C7 Non-Profit Organization. The club was founded in 1983 with eleven (11) members. Currently, there are 450 members. The club is a member of the National Brotherhood of Skiers (NBS).
The Southern Snow Seekers Ski Club's primary goals are to promote interest in skiing among African-Americans, and support the goals of the NBS at the local level. The primary challenge of the NBS is to find, select, and fund high potential youth, capable of winning a berth on the U.S. Ski Team. In the interest of promoting skiing among African Americans, the NBS provides scholarship funds for potential Olympic caliber skiers.

The Southern Snow Seekers meet each fourth Tuesday evening at the Atlanta-Fulton County Library, located at: 1 Margaret Mitchell Square, NW in Atlanta.
The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. Associate members reside more than 75 miles from Atlanta.
